scared that you might have the wrong day- or that your friends decided NOT to dress up

and praying that you are not the only one showing up to school 

dressed as Tinkerbell?

This morning I started my day on a job search

and found an opening at Lululemon

how great would it be to wear comfy workout clothes to work everyday?

The application had interesting questions like:

1. What is your theme song?

2. What gets you up in the morning?

3. What are you passionate about?

There were more. 

Had to sit for a good hour thinking of creative answers.

Afterwards I 

hit up the farmers market

The gym.

Linner

(lunch + dinner)

where I enjoyed this lovely apple cider martini (loaded)

And now I am getting ready to see 

Footloose!  

Abbie agreed to go if I promise to see The Immortals with him.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

With the latest twist of fate in my employment status

I've been thinking about 

what I want to be when I grow up

When I was this big

(btw- I was OBSESSED with cats as a kid)

I wanted to be a teacher 

Nearly every day I would teach to my stuffed animal students

I also wanted to be a bicycling rock star

(if there ever was such a thing)

But now

my passion lies with marketing

marketing for entrepreneurs/start-ups to be specific

(niche marketing folks)

Above all I want to own my business

so then when I have little babies I can be home with them

(working/playing/laughing/loving)


So what did/do YOU want to be when you grow up?

and we could all use a little change...

Big things going on in Ashley World

1st- this week marks my blog's 3 year anniversary!

I have updated the About Me to see how far I've come since starting this journey.

Moving on to BIGGER news...

I decided to leave my job.

whoa.

I never talk about work.

But I work/worked for a manufacturing company

as the Marketing and Sales Manager

I had been there for 7 years 

it was my baby

but it was time to let that job go 

and move on

Problem is-

I have nothing lined up

so I after I celebrated the fact that I took the leap in making a big change

I sat back and thought

WTH did I do!?

I now bounce back and forth between both thoughts

excitement

total, compete and utter fear

but in my heart of hearts
I think something AMAZING is coming my way
either way
it should be an interesting journey
(from a blogger's standpoint at least)

I needed today.

Lately my workouts have sucked.

Everyday has been a struggle.

I'm eating poorly.

All in all I am NOT preparing or prepared for the Savannah race.

But today the weather was great

thanks to a lovely overcast

and for the first time ever in my long run I ran a 10 min pace the whole time

I NEEDED this run!

Now I feel pumped to run again.
