Worth the Wait

After almost 5 years together

he popped the question...

I am over the moon
happy
in love

The proposal was obviously a surprise and totally worth the wait.
I can't believe I get to share the rest of my life with this amazing man.

Now it's time to plan a wedding!

Ashley Meets Vegetables

I'm back on track eating healthy again!

Loading my plate with all kinds of veggie goodness
(shrimp and vegetable curry)

 (Salads)

 (stir fry)

The best way to get tasty veggies for little money
is the Whole Foods buffet

$5 for all this!

World Vegetarian Day

Happy World Vegetarian Day!

I am proud to announce that I haven't eaten meat
for 2 years now
(if you don't count fish... and I don't)

I actually feel like it has been much longer-
but MY BLOG has confirmed that this decision was made in August of 2010.

It isn't really hard as it use to be.
Especially when I get my newsletters from the Farm Sanctuary

they remind me how much I love animals
and why I don't want to eat them.

And if you want to eat meat.
I'm ok with that too.

this my choice
and my small contribution
that's all.

Rest like a Giant Tree

I started going back to my Buddhist meditation classes last week
I have missed them so much

every class leaves me feeling great for the rest of the week.

I combined the lesson from last week's class with
my latest obsession
of Prezi
