Bunkie Update

It has been about a month now

since Bunkie had surgery on her little doggy ACL

(seriously- how gross is this?)

So far she seems to be ok

You can see that her other leg is hurting her

(as it needs surgery too)

and she's got this new funky fur cut

But it is soooooo nice to have everyone home again

I love my babies.

on the chia bandwagon

thanks to Miss Fitnessistsa

I learned about chia seeds awhile ago

and have been adding them to my smoothies ever since.

But what I didn't know about 

was chia seed pudding

this S--- is great!

1/4 cup of Chia seeds

1 cup of almond milk

spoon of sugar

teaspoon of vanilla

I've also read recipes where people have added orange juice, kefir, syrup, bananas

you can really play with this

Put it in the fridge overnight

and you have a yummy healthy dessert!

True Story

We received this toaster at a Christmas gift exchange

as a joke.

but since our old toaster was crap

we now use it.

true story.

(it imprints a hello kitty on your bread- true story)

A busy busy week of work

starting with a fashion show to benefit the Boys & Girls Club

 although local,

it was my first fashion show

and was so much fun!

The best part

was the show put on by the Boys & Girls Club choir

 

the SWAG bag was also a nice perk. 

This week

This week I would like to kick my coffee habit

by replacing it with tea

Why? because I cannot drink coffee without sugar- but I can drink tea without sugar

the truth is

I like tea

but some habits are hard to break

wish me luck...

Inspired Morning

One good thing about my new job 

are these great events I get to go to.

  

This morning I was invited to the Susan G Komen survivor's breakfast.

I sat in a room with over 200 breast cancer survivors. 

They were incredibly inspiring and I was reminded at just how strong women can be.

 I'm doing my part

by taking care of myself

(are you?)

I had a lump removed a few years back

it was a wake up call to take self exams regularly.

 and

FYI

Planned parenthood found my lump.

so there.

So ladies.

Do you part too and take care of yourselves! 

early detection is key.

All this living is so much harder than it seems...

You ask for one job

and get two

If you have been wondering why I haven't been blogging lately

it is because I've been working my booty off

and not in a gym way...

in a sit my ass in front of the computer way.

Which is no fun.

But I'm making the commitment to blog again.

as well as make some changes

such as my blog name...

as you can see

and content.
