I met the love of my life.
(taken the very night we met)

since then we have traveled

bought a home

adopted a (fur) baby

and have laughed and loved.

I'm so lucky to have him in my life.
I love him badly.

Unfortunately... he is working this weekend.
so I'm celebrating our 3 years on my own
My day started off at the farmers market where I loaded up on more shit to stuff into the juicer.

Stopped here

 for some

and some

and ended at a book store that was going out of business and had 60% off sale

If that isn't a start to a great day then I don't know what is...

Addicted to the juice

It is my 3rd night of juicing
I'm addicted.

Last night:
2X

1 cucumber
spinach
apple
pear

Tonight we made these:

beet tops
cucumber
1 pear
2 apples
romaine lettuce

Cucumber is key... that is if you love cucumbers like I do
Even Abbie likes these
and I would love to be the one that writes an informative blog on the benefits of juicing
but I imagine you all have access to Google too.

I also recently bought these bad boys
with my cash back bonus from Discover

Tried them for the first time in spin class
only to have the clip break on bike one
seat mess up on bike two
and the right petal clip not work on bike three

ghetto gym USA

Tomorrow I'll try spin class again and see how it goes.

Peace. Love. Juice!

A little juicy fruit

I would like to introduce you to the newest member of our kitchen family:

my new (but used)
Jack LaLanne (RIP)
Juicer!

My coworker, who is a juicing fanatic bought a new one
so I got the old one.

Our first juice

Carrots
1 beet
2 apples

The result...

The taste?

Much like a dandelion's smell. ha.

Tonight we are trying some green stuff. I can't wait to sky rocket my veggie intake!

Happy Hangover!

Raise your hand if you feel hung over today.
Raise your hand if you feel hung over and got your ass to work anyway.

*now pat yourself on the back*

I am actually NOT hungover.

Last night I volunteered to be Abbie's DD.
His alma mater played (and lost) to UCONN last night

so we went out to watch.
Enjoyed a green beer

Had some tuna wanton apps

And I ordered the veggie burger with sweet potato (said in an Oprah voice) fries

We ended the night with my Irish cupcakes I made the night before.
(use Guinness instead of water)

And top with Bailey's buttercream frosting.

Loaded

Happy Friday!

Driving slow on Sunday morning

Yesterday I decided to skip the gym and hit the mall instead.

I went shopping for cute baby stuff because I'm going to be an aunt!

(I think of this video when I think about me being an aunt- makes me laugh every time)

Buying baby stuff is so much fun- there are so many cute things out there.

I also picked up a couple of things for myself.

I realize the irony on buying workout clothes when I skipped the gym today.

Last night we went to a cute little Thai place. It was my first time having Thai food.

I went with the Pad Thai - which I knew was a safe choice- I look forward to trying something new next time.

Ok- time to put my new workout close to work.

Off for a run!
Happy Sunday!

They've got catfish on the table...

In my effort to celebrate every holiday this year,
Abbie and I had some friends over last night for a Mardi Gras Dinner

We had Hurricanes

Blackened Catfish with Honey Dijon Green Beans and Zatarains

And of course
King Cake

My first time making this- LOADED!

Did anyone else celebrate?
