I know how to throw a party

Let me tell you I can throw a party...

a pity party

This week has been really stressful both at home and at work
I even took a "mental health day" from work this week

where I may or may not have ordered pizza

and various other not-so-healthy stuff

But this morning I put on my big girl panties and realized that this type of behavior would get me nothing but a fat ass. So I woke up early-
got in a good workout in added some veggies in my diet.

All is well in Ashleyville again...

TBL finale tonight! go Daris!

Monday I had a hissy fit because I was forced to grocery shop at Target instead of my beloved Publix.
1st of all- Target is like a black hole
You go in for dish soap and leave
$100 poorer
I had spent my lunch hour perfecting my shopping list by planning breakfasts, snacks, lunches and dinner for the week
Only to find out that Target had almost none of the things I needed
So I had to wing it
But people like me
can’t wing it
because I can't cook
I can’t just throw in what I have and out pop a Paula Dean creation

So I came home unloaded the hodgepodge of sish I purchased and sulked
So this week’s meals should be interesting

But NEXT week’s meals will be better
Because I broke down and purchased this

There is a picture for every dish. Each only needs 5 ingredients. And they are (semi) healthy!

I’ve also created a new rule for myself- no more throwing food out
We have the tendency of tossing leftovers out.
Better for the wallet and environment.

Now I have to go- TBL finale is on.
Day one of TBL I picked Daris as the winner and Abbie picked Michael.
I hope my guy was voted in!

Today's Eats:
  • bfast- ww pancakes and syrup, tea
  • snack- hummus with Mary's Crackers, Pink Monster- 3 strawberries, almond milk, 1 banana
  • Lunch- Romain lettuce, egg salad with chicken

  • Workout- 1 hour BodyPump

It's the freakin' weekend!

time for some

Wednesday I forced Abbie to take me to dinner at Chilis
where we ate completely unhealthy foods
and drank their
all day
every day
2 for 1
Mich Ultras

Chilis is conveniently located in the same plaza as World Market and Target.
Whenever we eat there
I make sure to get Abbie nice and drunk so he will agree to go shopping with me afterwards
Wednesday I got him to buy us 8 bottles of wine that were on clearance at World Market
(I'm attempting a wine collection/kitchen decorating thingie with them)
The time before that I got Abbie to buy us a new desk.
(and he wonders why I always want to go to Chilis)

But I plan on popping open one of those bottles tonight and just chill-
AFTER I run my 2 miles
** yes, just 2 miles- I do what Hal tells me to do ok?**

This has been my theme song this week
(caution - naughty lyrics- do NOT play this at work!)

Anybody watch NBC last night?
My thoughts:
Jeff and Annie- YES!
Michael and Holly- MADE MY WEEK!
Liz and Matt Damon- Say whaaaat?

Oh- and I totally have a girl crush on Kelly Ripa.

To add to the randomness of this post-
for all you suckas still at work

Daily Reminder: you are a loser

This was in my inbox today:

Thank you Daily Mile for reminding me that I was a lazy bum last week and didn't do a single workout.

But let me just say...
It felt GLORIOUS!

I got to spend time with Abbie
my pups
and was able to eat dinner before 7:30 every night.
I even experienced Happy Hour - something that almost never happens!

I wish I could get my workouts done in the morning- it felt great being able to drive straight home after work- instead of to the gym.

Unfortunately, I am in no way, shape or form a Morning Person.
If you don't believe me - just ask my doggies, who I yell at in the morning when they "ask" to be taken downstairs to pee.
I'm ready to get back in the gym today though
Monday = Spin
my fav.

Tuesday = Body Pump

girl 1- "This bra makes my boobs look SO flat!"
girl 2- "yeah, (with a chuckle) you look like you are a size B or something."
girl 3 (in the saddest voice ever)- "You guys are a size C!?"

Partying is such sweet sorrow

I'm exhausted
Another weekend of

Followed by
Jet lag
and all over yucky-ness

I just got back from seeing my BFF in Dallas. We meant to see the city, go to museums, eat healthy and go running.  We ended up going to bars, drinking, and having wheat thins with cheese for dinner.

This week is my official Detox Week

We had a blasty though. She even helped me cross off another item on my Bucket List!
Rock Climbing!
Jen recently took up the sport
let me tell you folks
this shish is HARD!

I was only able to complete one wall
the others I either wussed out or wimped out on

If you want an all over hard core workout- then this sport is for you
Not really my cup of tea
but still happy I tried!

The Auto Part Store?

I sent my dad a text telling him we were in Napa
he text
"the auto part store"?
i love him

Napa was amazing. There is nothing but rolling hills of vineyards.

Did you know that they put roses at the end of the vineyards because roses are susceptible to the same diseases as grapes- so if the roses start to look bad- the growers can know that there could be something wrong with the vineyard.

So happy we went on the Napa Tour.

Another thing off of the Bucket List!
