Christmas Exchange

This past weekend was Abbie's company holiday party

I was inspired to create a holiday treat to share
voila!

So this was supposed to be a post about the company party and the gift exchange
but I am so pissed that these GD pictures won't flip!
and it is all because of this stupid ass camera I have

Maybe Santa will read this post and buy me a new one for Christmas... or my birthday... or just because ...

anyway.
more on the party another day

True Story

We received this toaster at a Christmas gift exchange
as a joke.

but since our old toaster was crap
we now use it.

Fly from the Beauty Salon

Once again I am back from the dead
(I feel like I keep making that type of statement)

Sunday I woke up with the sun and went for a 5 mile run
came home
and immediately felt sore all over- from my head to my toes
then nauseous for the next two days
leading me to believe
running = sickness
that could be the only conclusion, no?

My diet for these past few days included:
Gatorade
crackers
mac and cheese
and an English muffin

Seriously though- I definitely caught a bug of some sort. Right now is the first time I've felt 1/2 way decent since Sunday morning. I even left work early yesterday and laid in bed for the rest of the day.

But my weekend wasn't all doom and gloom
I did chop off all of my hair
finally took the plunge

Ta da!

(yes I am wearing clothes- it's a tube top)

What's funny is that I had to bring this picture in as the example haircut I wanted:

Tell me- do I look like Tila or what?

Today's Eats:
bfast- 1/2 english muffin, 1/2 banana
Lunch- 1/2 crackers
Dinner- OG mac and cheese
Fruit/veggie- 1/2
workout- does walking the pups count?

Friday's thoughts

I'm Captain Crabby today
I know it's Friday
And I've waited all week for it to be Friday
now it's here-
and I'm crabby

I have two choices:

Click my heels three times...

Or hit Starbucks for some caffeine happiness

(actually that last picture just cheered me up a bit)

Last night my brother and I cam up with an awesome blog idea.
It's a new project that I'll be working on for a month.

Intrigued?

Here's are some hints:
  • inspired by MTV's Made
  • childhood goal
  • completely ridiculous
  • something i've never seen an adult do
Alright- back to the grind.

(is it normal to be hungry again at 10:00am?)

***UPDATE****
Mood = better

I pity the fool

This day has been full of embarrassments- beginning with an awesome spill I took in the hallway this morning on my way to work. (thank you Claudia for the slippery ass gold shoes!)

Followed by and incredibly awkward business conversation and a stupid LinkedIn misunderstanding.
Is there really anything worse than feeling embarrassed? Especially at work. I don’t like to be embarrassed and most of all I don’t want others to be embarrassed around me.

www.someecards.com

Fortunately most of my humiliating moments are not Cosmo worthy- they are usually just bad enough for me to harp on them all freaking day. Is anyone else like this?

As bad as today was though- nothing beats the time a potential investor called the office mistaking me for an Ashley he met the night before. We continued to have the most confusing conversation-

With him thinking I am a girl he met

And me thinking he’s asking very strange questions

Did I sleep well? Yeah, Um, I guess.

I was so embarrassed for the both of us that I couldn’t muster up the courage after 3 minutes of uncomfortable conversation to tell him that he had the wrong Ashley. I just got off the phone as soon as possible.

Minutes later we received a call from the Marriott wanting an address to deliver a dozen roses to “Ashley”.  When we told Marriott it was the wrong Ashley the Investor called back to apologize.
He was a really good sport about it all in the end. I still get red in the face thinking about it though.
